Rev. Vernon Eugene Long, 88, of Ironton, Mo. passed away June 12, 2023 at the Baptist Home in Ironton, Mo.

He was born to the late John D. Long and Myrtle 'Moyers' Long on April 15, 1935 in Patton, Mo.

He is also preceded in death by his wife, Ada Long and daughter, Cynthia Craig.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila 'Long' Haas and husband Melvin;

son, Matt Long and wife Marsha;

8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren;

brother-in-law, Robert Propes;

and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation Thursday June 15, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to time of funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home, Park Hills, Mo. with

Rev. Bob Thebeau.

Interment at Old Pendleton Cemetery, Doe Run, Mo.
