Robert Neal "Huff" Caler was called to his eternal rest on September 27, 2023.  To all who knew him, he was a loyal husband, father, and friend.  He was born August 24, 1940, in Leadwood, Missouri, and graduated from Flat River High School where he was known as Bob Huff.  He played sports and was a member of Demolay.  Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he attained the rank of Aviation Machinist Mate, Second Class, and played Anchors Aweigh on the trombone in the Memphis Navy Band.  He retired in 2006 after a long career as an electrician.

Decades ago, Bob served the City of Elvins as a councilman and volunteer firefighter.  He was a man of faith and a member of the Elvins Baptist Church where he played bass guitar for special music.  He was an avid sports fan and was a Master Mason for over 50 years with the Elvins Ionic 154 Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Huff and Leon Caler, stepfather Bob Huff, and eldest daughter Laura Pendergrass.  He is survived by the love of his life, wife Karen Maxson, and his other children John Caler, Amy Pratte, and Crystal Caler.  He had four grandchildren, Courtney (Michael) Haugh, Susan (Ryan) Abney, Angela (Jay) Burnett, and Ty Pratte; four great-grandchildren Amber Huckabee, Lillian Pitchford, Leif Abney, and Leonna Abney; and one great-great-grandchild, Hendrix Rhodes.  He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy (Barry) Lock and Elizabeth Williams, and special uncles John Penberthy and Randall Penberthy.
