Obituary

With the sound of wind chimes, Lori Politte passed on March 16, 2023 with her family around her.

Lori Ann (Kleinberg) Politte was born in St. Louis on July 22, 1974 to Glennon and Karen (Dickey) Kleinberg.

Preceding her in death are her grandparents; Clarence & Alpine Kleinberg, Lester & Marie Dickey, cousin; Jason Dickey, aunts; Joan Kleinberg, Rita Dickey and Charlotte Kleinberg and uncle; Kenneth Kleinberg.

She graduated from Farmington High School in May, 1993 and attended Mineral Area College.  She worked at Mother Goose Daycare, Walmart and NHC Healthcare before "early retirement" in June, 2022.  Her greatest joy in life are her sons; Codie & Gaige and her grandchildren; Ellie & Maximus.  Lori loved to read mystery novels and binge watch NCIS, Criminal Minds, 20/20 and Dateline.  She enjoyed her weekend trips to antique sho ps and boutiques for anything to decorate her house with or buy for someone's Christmas gift.  She never missed an opportunity to enjoy a meal at Red Lobster, drink a glass of wine, go to General Custards or eat a piece of Dove chocolate.

On October 11, 2021 Lori was diagnosed with Stage 4 gall bladder cancer. This is not what her family thought would happen when she was just going to get her gall bladder removed.  Her family would like to thank Dr. Paul Mehan and the staff and nurses from the Oncology Dept. at Parkland Healthcare.  The love, care and dedication she received from them for the last 17 months is beyond words.  They all have the best interest of their patients and family members at heart from the minute they walk in their door until they leave for the day.  So many of them have reached out to her family to keep in touch with Lori.  Serenity Hospice has been amazing as well.  Mary Kay and Christina were friends to Lori before hospice and it gave comfort to her and her family knowing she was taken care of by friends.

Lori is survived by her parents Glenn & Karen Kleinberg of Knob Lick, MO, sons Codie (Marie) Umfleet of Park Hills, MO, and Gaige (fiance Jennifer) Politte of Bushnell, FL, "her man" Dustin Lilly, grandchildren; Ellie and Maximus Umfleet, sister; Wendy (Cory) Stallings of Jackson, MO, nieces; Alli Lewis and Savannah Kleinberg-Hampton, cousins, aunts & uncles, and so many friends.

Please join the family for a celebration of her amazing life on April 22, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at The Ashlar Complex 316 W. Main St., Park Hills, MO

Lori has asked that everyone wear a bright color, no black (even if it is slimming Wendy).

Arrangements were with the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home, Park Hills, Mo.
