Daniel Patrick Lawrence Murphy, 73, of Farmington, Mo. went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2023.

He was born July 8, 1950 in St. Louis, Mo.

Danny was a great husband, father, brother, friend and son.  He battled many illnesses in his last 6 years of his life here on Earth. His strength was one of a kind!  Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes and would even make silly faces to try and lighten the mood. He loved pulling pranks on his nurses and family during his hospital trials. This was his way of letting us know he was strong and will fight until his last day... AND THAT HE DID!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel P. Murphy and Betty 'Morris' Murphy Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy 'Wadlow' Murphy,

3 children, Scott Daniel Murphy and wife Staci and their children Cole, Carson and Casen; Tracie McMahan and husband Mike and thier children Callie and Tayler, and Christie Jones and husband P.J. and their children Kenzie, Jaxon and Grace,

1 sister, Sharon Petty and husband Rev. DeWayne Petty,

other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation Friday October 27, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to time of funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park HIlls, Mo. with Rev. Roger Hogan.

Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Leadington, Mo.
